Telecare Telethon To Air January 17-18, 2015

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – January 15, 2015 --Telecare, the television station of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, will conduct its annual fundraising telethon the weekend of January 17-18, 2015.
The telethon will air from 2 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and Noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday, with both day-long broadcasts being re-aired overnight on Saturday and Sunday.

Phone lines will be open throughout the live broadcasts and the overnight re-broadcasts. The telethon will air on Cablevision channel 29/137, Verizon FiOS channel 296 and Time Warner Cable channel 471. Viewers can also catch the telethon online at

This year, the telethon will be 18 hours filled with many guest “stars” including many of the clergy, religious and dedicated lay people of our Diocese. Additionally, visits from some celebrity chefs, musical groups and New York sports teams will help fuel the enjoyment.

About The Diocese of Rockville Centre
The Diocese of Rockville Centre ( was formed in 1957 and covers 1,198 square miles in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The diocese serves approximately 1,531,445 baptized Catholics (total population in the Diocese is approximately 3,504,737). There are 134 parishes (1 campus parish) in 115 towns.
