"With God, I thought, every day seems more attractive.  I can see 'little bits' at a time.  One day I notice some wonderful detail, on another, I discover a sight I had not seen before...At this rate, it is impossible to say what will happen next.  Then, I noticed that He was reassuring me:  'Your happiness will grow greater every day, for you will be drawn deeper and deeper into that divine adventure, into that great complication with which you have become involved.  And you will realize that I will never abandon you.'" (St. Josemaria Escrivá)

A "divine adventure" - that is what awaits us when we embrace our Christian faith to the fullest. Josemaria Escrivá recognized that living life with Christ in its midst gave his existence a spark of TRUE life.  Each day that we live in the awareness of God's presence becomes something exciting and unique - even if we do the same job every day, see the same people - inviting God in "makes all things new". (Rev. 21:5)

How do we do that?  By making the effort to be connected to God throughout our day with prayer; by recognizing everyone as created in His image; by fighting our own selfish whims and desires; by looking at every obstacle as a challenge to go higher - a challenge to overcome ourselves.  Then we, too, will see "little bits" of Heaven around us, and we will be thankful for life as a gift - as a divine adventure - from a God who created us to be in love with Him.

St. Josemaria Escrivá, pray for us!
